Box Score UTPB volleyball picked up its second road win of the season Friday night, taking a 3-0 sweep of Henderson State 25-17, 25-21 and 25-23 in Arkadelphia, Ark.
The Falcons racked up 19 kills on 31 total attempts and committed just six errors in the first set where four different players had at least four kills, led by
Ryley Carman's five. UTPB hit .419 as a team in the first where they jumped out to an 18-12 lead on 10 straight points after having trailed 12-8 early on in the contest.
UTPB hit for its second best hitting percentage in a match this season at .257 for a team and its 49 kills were the most for the team in a three-set match and the third most for the entire season.
Morgann Davis and
Caitlyn Guajardo each collected nine kills on the night.
Rachel Dixon hit .700 on 10 attacks with seven kills and no errors for the evening.
Ariana Gallardo had a match-high 35 assists and
Jordan McDonald and
Taylor Harmon tied for the team lead with 16 digs apiece.
UTPB is back in action Saturday afternoon, taking on UA Fort Smith in Heartland Conference action at noon.
