Box Score UTPB Baseball was able to score just two runs Monday afternoon while Newman scored in five of six times at the plate and tallied multiple runs in four innings to take the series with a 13-2 win over the Falcons at McCarthy Field in Wichita, Kan.

Trailing 3-0, UTPB came back to pull within one run with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth. Neil Madsen and Ryan Arrick hit back-to-back doubles with two outs, scoring Andrew Grifol and Madsen, respectively.

Newman responded in its half of the fourth with three runs, doubling its run total on the day, and scored five more times on five hits in the bottom of the fifth.

Grifol was perfect in his four trips to the plate, getting his in three official at bats with one walk and a run scored while Arrick had a pair of hits in the game.

The Falcons are back at home this weekend, hosting Oklahoma Christian Friday and Saturday.
