UTPB Baseball was held to just one run over 16 combined innings Saturday afternoon as the Falcons dropped a 4-0 and 4-1 doubleheader Saturday afternoon to Eastern New Mexico at Roden Field in Odessa.
The visiting Greyhounds used a lead-off triple to score once in the top of the first and added a pair of runs in the third behind their second triple of the day to lead 3-0 through three innings.
ENMU added a fourth and final run in the top of the sixth for what was the final score of 4-0.
Game two featured a seven-inning pitching duel between each team's starters as the game was deadlocked at 0-0 through the scheduled seven innings.

Lance Fairchild struck out four while allowing just three hits and a lone walk in his first start of the season and third appearance of the year.
Matthew Artalejo went eight strong for the Greyhounds, limiting the Falcons to a pair of hits while walking one with four strikeouts.
Eastern New Mexico broke through in the top of the ninth, taking the lead on a Blake Cooper home run that wrapped around the right field foul pole to start the inning before adding three more runs to go on top 4-0.
Trey Cochran got the Falcons on the board in their half of the ninth, going deep to left for his second homer of the season.
 The Falcons are back in action at home Friday afternoon, kicking off the Heartland Conference schedule with a doubleheader against St. Edward's.
