UTPB Baseball was held without a hit until two outs in the bottom of the ninth Saturday afternoon in a 5-1 defeat to Colorado School of Mines at Roden Field in Odessa.
The Falcons had a pair of runners reach base in the first when

Jose Sierra was hit by a pitch.
Brian Brademan drew a lead off walk to start the bottom of the second and
Ryne Head got on base after a fielding error at short in the sixth.
Trey Cochran earned the team's first hit in the ninth on a single over the shortstop into left field, pushing
Ty Morgan to second. Morgan scored a batter later when Brademan roped a line drive down the third base line past a diving third baseman into left field for the team's only run of the game.
The Orediggers went on top in the third inning on an RBI double, and opened up its lead with a pair of runs in both the fifth and sixth innings.
The two teams conclude the two game series Sunday morning, taking to the field at 11 a.m. for one game.
