Box Score UTPB women's basketball improved to 4-0 on the season Friday evening with a 67-58 victory over Eastern New Mexico at the 2014 Lowe's Market Classic hosted by Lubbock Christian in Lubbock, Texas.

The Falcons ended the first half with a 13-point, 37-24 lead over the Zias as Giselle Loya led all players in the first 20 minutes with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting with four shots made behind the 3-point line.

A three from Briana Jones off a steal from Jones to start the second half put UTPB on top by 16, but Eastern New Mexico cut the lead down over the next 10 minutes to just four points at 48-44.

UTPB fought back to push its lead back to double digits as a three from Keyondra White and a pair at the line from Valerie Barriga increased the advantage to 55-46, and a three from Barriga two possessions later put the Falcons on top 58-48.

Eastern New Mexico once again trailed by four points with 2:06 to play after scoring six straight points, but UTPB hit its last nine attempts at the free throw line to close out the nine-point victory.

Loya ended the night with a game-high 19 points and Barriga added 12 points, eight after halftime, with four assists. White scored nine and Shaquiri Graham tallied eight points and six boards on a perfect 4-4 shooting day from the field.

UTPB is back in action in Lubbock Saturday night, facing Tarleton State at 5:30 p.m.
