Box Score UTPB men's basketball dominated Friday afternoon in a 119-66 victory against Southwestern Adventist at the 2014 La Posada Classic hosted by Texas A&M International in Laredo.

The Falcons ended the day with seven players finishing the game in double figures in points, led by Phadarious Taylor who scored a team-high 21 points with 10 boards. UTPB also got double-doubles from Andre Smith who scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds off the bench, 12 points and 12 rebounds from Stephan Thompson making his first start of the year and 16 points to go with 10 assists from Malcolm Hill-Bey.

UTPB shot over 60% from the field for the second time in three games, connecting on 47-of-77 field goal attempts on the day to shoot 61 percent. The Falcons hit 10 attempts from 3-point range on 22 shots (45.5 percent). 

Madison Turner added 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting, Andre Rieder scored 11 points with four assists, Scotter Holmes contributed 10 points in a reserve roll and Lamar Falley  had a team-high six assists.

JaColby Hardin had a game-high 30 points for Southwestern Adventist and Kevin Squarzon had 27 points on the day.

UTPB is back in action Saturday night in Laredo, taking on Huston-Tillotson at 5 p.m.
