10/27/2014 4:40:00 PM

Box Score UTPB men's soccer went into halftime holding a one goal lead, but gave up the next five in suffering a 5-1 loss to St. Edward's Monday afternoon in the team's final home game of 2014.

Logan Sharp, the team's lone senior, scored his second goal of the season in the 27th minute on a header when Andrew Enriquez kicked a free kick from 35 yards out to the left side of the box.

The lead held into the early minutes of the second half, but the Hilltoppers offense came to life with a fury in the second half. Kyle Ruck, Josh Taylor, Andrew Fox, Kyle Pujats and Daniel Riley combined to each score to give St. Edward's five goals in just over five minutes to put it on top by the game-ending score of 5-1.

St. Edward's held a 27-5 shot lead for the day, putting 16 on net to three for the Falcons.

UTPB hits the road this weekend, ending the season at Dallas Baptist and Oklahoma Christian.
