UTPB women's basketball went to overtime for the second straight game, but the Falcons were unable to duplicate the results from two days prior in suffering a 95-89 OT loss on the road at St. Edward's in Austin, Texas.

The Falcons scored first in the overtime session, getting a free throw from Shaquiri Graham 40 seconds in to go up 80-79.

That was their only time they were ahead in the final five minutes as St. Edward's responded with seven straight points while scoring on all of its possessions after missing a 3-pointer the first time with the ball in OT.

The Hilltoppers brought the game to overtime after losing the lead with just over a minute left as Keyondra White connected on a 3-pointer to put the Falcons on top 76-75. A pair of free throws from Mileka Loydrake gave St. Edward's a one-point advantage, but UTPB grabbed back the lead on a basket in the paint from Graham to go back ahead 78-77. The Falcons had one final possession in regulation, but committed a charge and turned the ball over with two seconds to play.

Both teams held a  small lead in the first half but the Falcons held the advantage at halftime, holding a five point lead with 2:03 to play in the first half and holding the same advantage with a pair of free throws from Barriga at :37 on the clock and getting a layup by Tori Cooks to beat the buzzer and lead 41-36 at halftime.

UTPB led by as many as nine points in the early minutes of the second half, getting a three by Giselle Loya out of the break, a pair of baskets by Barriga and another shot from downtown by Loya to lead 51-42, its largest of the night.

Barriga led all UTPB scorers with 23 points, hitting 11-12 from the free throw line. A trio of Falcons added 16 points; Loya on 5-11 shooting behind the arc, White on 5-6 shooting both from the floor and the free throw line, and Graham who also led the team with 12 rebounds.
