A five-goal first half helped propel Incarnate Word to a 6-1 win at the Cardinals and Falcons traded goals in the second half Thursday night in San Antonio, Texas.

Sydney Solomon scored a pair in the first half as UIW had four players combine to score five times in the first 45 minutes to head into halftime with a 5-0 lead.

Mallory Martin scored her first of the season in the game's 65th minute, collecting a long through-ball from Skylar Bluebird to beat the UIW keeper at the bottom left corner of the net. 

The Falcons return to the pitch Saturday afternoon, taking on Houston Victoria.
