The Pioneers scored their first of the night in the 12th minute on a header by David Neuberth for his fifth goal of the season.

Wayland Baptist built a three goal lead behind a pair of goals from Juan Sanchez and Vitalis Atemafac just two minutes apart at 32:03 and 34:04 of the first half to go into halftime holding a 3-0 advantage.
