Desiree Valero earned her second win of the weekend as UTPB defeated Oklahoma Christian 6-1 Sunday afternoon. The win gave the Falcons the series victory over the Eagles after the teams split Saturday's doubleheader.

After Oklahoma Christian tied the game in the top of the third with three consecutive infield singles and a bases loaded walk for what ended up being its only run of the game, UTPB grabbed a pair of runs, taking the lead again on a
Kati Walker sacrifice fly by fouling out deep to left with
Anna Hollingsworth scoring from third. Marble then went yard three batters later with two outs to give the Falcons a 3-1 advantage.
Lesli Ericson added to the UTPB run total in the bottom of the fifth, hitting a pinch hit single into center to score
Cene Padilla. Marble followed with another RBI base hit, doubling to left center to drive in pinch runner
Tomie Ellard for a 5-1 lead.
isbel added a sixth and final run in the bottom of the sixth, homering to left with two outs.
Valero worked out of trouble twice in the early innings. She got a strike out and an infield pop out in foul territory to third in the top of the third to escape with just one run given up in the inning. She got a line out to short an inning later to leave the bases full in the fourth. Valero earned her sixth win of the season, giving up one run in seven innings off of nine hits and four walks while striking out seven.
UTPB is back on the field Monday, April 8, starting a two game road trip with a doubleheader at Cameron in Lawton, Oklahoma. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
