AS A FRESHMAN: Was named first team All-Heartland Conference at third base after hitting .373 in 40 games played which was second best on the team…Collected 38 hits, 10 for extra bases that included seven doubles and three home run to go along with 12 RBI…Had 11 multiple-hit games, including three contests in which she collected three hits.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years at Bel Air High School in El Paso where she hit .372 as a senior with 13 home runs and 21 RBI…Was a three-time all-district first team selection at shortstop…Was on the El Paso Times’ high school softball top-20 players…Helped lead her team to a co-district championship as a junior and was named to the 5A All-City second team…Was a three-year member of the National Honor Society and was named to the Who’s Who Among High School Students as a freshman and sophomore.

PERSONAL: Cene Padilla was born Jan. 28, 1991 in El Paso, Texas and is the daughter of Alma Rosa and Ernesto Padilla of El Paso…Majoring in business management.
