UTPB women's soccer missed an early chance at taking the lead, and Oklahoma Christian capitalized twice in the first half in an eventual 3-0 defeat Saturday night.
Jessica Saulter was inches away from giving the Falcons an early 1-0 lead, her shot 1:10 into the first half deflecting low off of the left post.
Oklahoma Christian scored on their first attempt of the night, a shot by Courtney Nixon as she broke free down the left side of the field at 20:18 of the first half.
OCU added a second goal in the first, a shot by Addie Ryan at 38:52 that deflected off of the top of the wall on a free kick and travelled into the upper right corner of the net to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead before heading into halftime.
Ryan added a second goal five minutes into the second half for a 3-0 lead in what proved to be the last goal of the night.
UTPB out-shot the Eagles 14-5 on the night, half of the Falcons' attempts coming from
Sal Gebre.
The Falcons close out the 2013 season Monday afternoon, hosting Dallas Baptist at 2:30 p.m.
