The University of Texas of the Permian Basin volleyball team improved to .500 (6-6) in Heartland Conference action and 5-3 at home this season with a 25-8, 25-12 and 25-13 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State Thursday night in Odessa, Texas.
The Falcons hit a season-best .423 on the night, led by a .591 first set in which they recorded 14 kills to just one error on 22 attacks. The Falcons had just five errors total while forcing the Aggies in 25 errors in the three set contest.
Melissa Lusk led the UTPB attack with nine kills and a three-set match best percentage of .500.
Keeley Brogdon added eight kills on 12 attacks with no errors to hit a team-best .667.
Ariana Gallardo led the Falcons with 18 assists while Taylor Harman led all players with 11 digs.
The Falcons look to build upon a three-match win streak in conference play Saturday afternoon as they go against Newman at home at 12 p.m.
