The University of Texas of the Permian Basin gave up a pair of second half goalsin an eventual 2-0 loss to St. Mary's Monday afternoon at the UTPB Soccer Field.

The two teams entered the half tied at 0-0, each getting off six shots in the opening 45 minutes.

Ryan Hoskins broke the stalemate in the 61st minute, receiving a volley deep in the box near the left post to shoot it for a 1-0 lead.

Alexis Santamaria gave the Rattlers an insurance goal at 76:47, dribbling into the box with the ball and shooting from close range for what was the enventual final goal of the game. 

UTPB goalkeeper Craig Branum and his counterpart Patrick Kasperitis each made five saves on the day.

The Falcons hit the road this weekend, returning to the pitch Saturday night at 5 p.m. against Rogers State in Claremore, Okla.
