The University of Texas of the Permian Basin volleyball team earned its second win in two games this season against University of the Southwest, knocking off the Mustangs in straight sets 25-17, 25-15 and 25-21.
Melissa Lusk was the only player to end the three-set match with double digits in kills, leading all players while tying her season-high with 15 kills on the night and a .306 hitting percentage.
Ariana Gallardo led UTPB with 22 kills in the contest, and
Jordan McDonald led the team with 14 digs while
Kelsey Zukowski and
Keeley Brogdon added 12 apiece.
The Falcons hit .205 as a team with 41 kills while Southwest had its 26 kills negated by 26 errors to hit .000 on the evening.
UTPB continues its three game in three day roadtrip tomorrow night, traveling to Plainview, Texas, for a 7 p.m. match Wednesday night at Wayland Baptist.
