LAREDO – Travis Wilcox tossed a seven inning shutout and gave up just three hits as The University of Texas of the Permian Basin won the third and final game of the three-game series with Texas A&M International 4-0.

Ryne Head, who also scored two of the team's runs.
Hugo Hernandez had one hit on the day, but it was a two-run double, which came in the top of the second, which proved to be the game winners.
Wilcox baffled the Dustdevil hitters as he racked up seven strikeouts with just two walks on the afternoon.
Daniel Bernal pitched the final two innings in relief and picked up where Wilcox left off as he didn't allow a hit and struck out a batter.
The Falcons took full advantage of five fielding errors by A&M International, which resulted in four unearned runs.
Michael Rice started the second inning by reaching on an error before Head moved him to third on a single to left. Hernandez followed with his double to right center to plate both Head and Rice.
The Falcons would add to their lead in the third when
Arturo Carrera, who reached on a two-out walk, scored on an error, giving them a 3-0 advantage. Head came through once again, this time in the sixth as he hit a two-out single to left and later stole second. Hernandez followed suit when he reached on an error allowing head to score from second.
The Falcons moved to 1-2 on the year and will play their first home games of the season at the UTPB Classic, which will be played this weekend in both Odessa and Midland.
