College Swimming Top 25
The University of Texas of the Permian Basin men's swimming team made its initial appearance in the CollegeSwimming.com and Endless Pools Top 25 Poll after a number of top finishes this past weekend at the 2012 Trinity Western Shootout.
UTPB picked up 11 total first place finishes over the two-day event, including three first place relay finishes in the 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle and 200 medley.
Alex Ruata led the Falcons with three wins, taking first in the 100 & 200 breaststroke and the 200 Individual Medley.
Kyle Smith earned a pair of wins, winning both the 100 & 200 backstroke.
Three swimmers earned one win apeice, with
Grant Griffith taking first in the 100 freestyle,
Kyle Marshall winning the 200 freestyle and
Mark Dix finishing first in the 100 butterfly.
Points for the Endless Pools / CollegeSwimming.com Top 25 are calculated using the average percentile rank of each team's top twenty-seven individual swims in each meet.The Top 25 are ranked according on the basis of each team's highest-scoring meet within the previous four weeks.
