LAWTON, Okla. – Ricky Cramer tossed a complete-game, giving up just one run off seven hits, as Cameron took a 6-1 victory over The University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
The Aggies on the other hand racked up 16 hits with Nate Valdez and Joe Halley both picking up three hits each. Halley did most of the damage himself for Cameron as he picked up two RBI and scored a run.
Cameron led 4-0 after the first six innings, scoring single runs in the third and fourth before plating two more in the sixth. UTPB finally got on the board in the top of the seventh when
Chandler Goode hit an RBI single through left side to score
Hugo Hernandez, who reached on a two-out single.
Two more runs for the Aggies gave them a comfortable 6-1 lead which was more than enough for Cramer, who struck out seven and walked three.
UTPB fell to 7-15 overall and will finally return home on Wednesday when it hosts Abilene Christian at 1 p.m.
