West Texas A&M used a strong second half to defeat the University of Texas of the Permian Basin men's soccer team 4-0.
The Falcons had 10 shots team shots, four on goal with Tyler Gibson leading the way offensively for UTPB with two. Marcelo Andres and Austin James both had a shot on goal as well.
WTAMU's Ben Everson broke a scoreless tie at the 31:10 mark in the first half when he dribbled from the left side and found the back of the net in the bottom right corner. The score would remain that way until the Buffs scored two goals in just over eight minutes early in the second half before Everson put in another goal with less than 10 minutes to play.
The Falcons will be back in action Sunday at 4 p.m. when they host Eastern New Mexico at 4 p.m.
