Abilene Christian racked up 44 kills and made just 15 errors offensively as the Wildcats took a 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-22) win over the University of Texas of the Permian Basin volleyball team.
The Wildcats were led by Jordan Schilling, who finished with 10 kills, 14 digs and a block assist and all but two players registered at least one kill for ACU.  UTPB got the bulk of its offense from Melissa Lusk and Jamie Rodell, who accounted for 15 of the team's 27 kills with Lusk collecting a team-high eight.

While ACU had its offense in gear, the Falcons gathered 27 kills, but committed 17 errors in 111 attacks to hit .090 for the match.
The Falcons will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to San Antonio to take on St. Mary's in a key Heartland Conference matchup.  The winner of the contest would put themselves in position to qualify for the league's tournament which features the top-four teams in the standings.  Following the St. Mary's match, the UTPB will head to Laredo to take on Texas A&M International.
