Chris Hoad is the 2018 Football Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Hoad led the Falcons with 122 tackles this season, 61 of them solo. He had 11 tackles for loss, a pair of interceptions, one for a touchdown, three forced fumbles, three QB hurries, two pass break ups and a sack. He was named Lone Star Conference Honorable Mention.
