The University of Texas Permian Basin women's soccer program has announced the hiring of Madison Harper as Assistant Coach for the 2026-27 season.
Harper established herself as a standout at Lake Dallas High School helping her team to a 15-5-2 record her senior year including a district title. She played all four years collegiately at Midway University, an NAIA outside of Lexington and Louisville. As an Eagle, she played in over 35 games including 26 starts amassing almost 1800 career minutes including 1000 minutes in her junior year. Harper was a part of the 2023 team that finish 7-6-1 that made it to the quarterfinals River States Conference Championship, the programs first winning season and conference tournament appearance since 2019. She was also a standout in the classroom being named to the Dean’s List on multiple occasions.
Upon graduating, Harper was added to the Midway staff as a graduate student assistant under the tutelage of Warren Lipka. Lipka has over 30 years of collegiate experience including time as a NCAA DI head coach at Moorehead State. While on Lipka’s staff, Harper assisted in practice planning, lineup decisions, goalkeeping, transportation and logistics, and recruiting. She was also key in helping mentoring student-athletes. She also has interned with the North Texas Soccer Association, experience as a referee, experience coaching at the club level in Dallas, and is licensed through U.S. Soccer.
