It was announced in August 2022 that Jared Heumann would take over as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at UT Permian Basin after serving as an assistant since December of 2020. He then became the Director of Strength and Conditioning a year later and is now in his second year as the director and fifth year overall at UTPB.
Heumann came to UTPB after serving as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. He also worked with BX Player Development in Binghamton, New York, after graduating from Bryan University in Tempe, Arizona.
Heumann played football at Hartwick College (Onenota, N.Y.) in 2015 before graduating from Bryan in December 2019 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Fitness Training and Exercise Science. He is pursuing his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology at UTPB.
