The University of Texas Permian Basin is pleased to announce UTPB alum Caleb Pierson as Atheltic Development Coordinator. He begins his duties at UTPB in May 2026.
Pierson earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from UTPB in August 2024 and his Master of Science in August 2025.
After graduating from UTPB, Pierson worked as HR Recruting Coordinator at Diamondback Energy (Midland, Texas). During the summer before his final year at UTPB, he was an HR Intern at ProPetro Services (Midland, Texas).
Pierson played football for the Falcons from 2021-2025 as a linebacker, playing in his final season as a graduate student. As a student-athlete, we was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll four times (Fall 2022, Spring 2023, Fall 2023, Spring 2025) and was a member of the Dean's List.
At Hargrave High School (Huffman, Texas), Pierson was named Texas Sports Writers Association Honorable Mention All-State 4A and THSCA Honorable Mention Academic All-State, and was a First-Team All-District 10-4A linebacker.
