She played club soccer for Sting Corpus Christi, a branch of the Sting SC that has received national recognition... She is the second signing in two years from the Sting organization of clubs... Also competed for South Texas ODP.
High School:
The Corpus Christi commit has an extensive list of achievements while representing Veterans Memorial High School... Russell was named District MVP in 2024 and was First Team All-District in both 2024 and 2026... In 2025, her efforts earned her a spot on the All-District Second-Team... Throughout 2024-26, Kylie has also been named in the Academic All-District as well as in 2026 also being in the Academic All-State awardees... Was a three-time All-District (two-time First-Team) player and was also three-time Academic All-District (2024-2026)... Was First-Team All-District, District MVP (Midfield) and Academic All-District in 2024... Was Second-Team All-District and Academic All-District in 2025... Was First-Team All-District, Academic All-District and Academic All-State in 2026... Team was Bi-District Champions three times (2024-2026) and Area Champions twice (2024, 2026), and advanced to 2026 Regional Semifinals... Also competed in track and was involved in 4-H... 2026 Permanent Honor Roll... Earned Corpus Christi Caller Times Student-Athlete of the Week and Driscoll Childrens Student-Athlete of the Week 2025.
Personal:
Grandfather was a adjunct professor in criminal justice at UTPB in the 1990’s... Father, Richard, was a standout football player at Midland-Lee and played football at Texas A&M University-Kingsville from 1996-2000... Is involved with the Food Bank and does volunteer work at Choice Living Community, where she helps adults with disabilities... Co-Founder of a non profit: Coastal Bend Hearts-Taken by Covid... Is a first degree black belt in karate and is training in jujitsu... She enjoys going hunting, shopping, fishing and trying new coffee places... Is an avid hunter who will be going to Africa on a safari hunt in the summer of 2026.
