Biography
2026 (First-Year):
Started in 32 of her 35 games as a true freshman... Hit .299 with 18 runs, 26 hits, eight doubles, one triple, three home runs, 20 RBI's, 45 total bases, eight walks, three hit by pitches, two stolen bases, a .374 on-base percentage and a .517 slugging percentage in 87 at bats... Led the team in RBI's and slugging percentage (all players), was second in doubles, and was third among all players on the team in batting average, runs scored and total bases... Was also fourth on the team in hits... Was tied for third on the team in home runs, and was one of only two Falcons with both a home run and a triple on the year... Posted a great .978 fielding percentage (1 error in 46 chances) and totaled 44 putouts playing mostly from the outfield... Tied for the team lead with three runs scored in one game (Apr. 24 vs. Midwestern State)... Was tied for third on the team with six mult-hit games, including the most three-hit games (4)... Was tied for second on the team with five multi-RBI games, and was one of three players with at least four RBI's in a game... Had the longest hitting streak on the team (8 games) and had the second-longest on-base streak on the team (10 games)... Was 2-for-3 with two doubles (one RBI-double), a walk and a run scored in her first appearance of the season, a 10-4 win over New Mexico Highlands (Jan. 31)... Was 3-for-3 with two leadoff singles in the fifth and seventh innings in a 3-2 loss in game two vs. Texas A&M International (Mar. 1). Her first hit scored UTPB's first run of the game in the bottom of the second inning, and then in the bottom of the fifth she scored the game-tying run (2-2)... Drew a hit by pitch in both games of the doubleheader at No. 12 Oklahoma Christian (Mar. 13), and was UTPB's lone baserunner of the game in game one... Gonzalez hit .545 on the week vs. Southwest (Mar. 18) and UT Dallas (Mar. 22), led UTPB with six hits and seven RBI's, walked twice to put up a .615 on-base percentage, and had four extra-base hits (3 doubles, 1 home run) to put up a 1.091 slugging percentage. She was 3-for-4 with four RBI's, smashing a three-run home run to center field in the first inning and adding an RBI-single up the middle to make it 6-0 in the bottom of the second inning (4 RBI's in 2 innings) during UTPB's game-two win vs. USW. In all she was 5-for-8 (.625) with five RBI's, three runs, two doubles and a home run between both games against USW. She was then 1-for-1 with two walks and a two-run double to right center field in the first inning in game two vs. UTD... Was 3-for-5 with a walk and a run in a 6-3 win in 10 innings in game one at Texas A&M International (Mar 29)... Hit the first of back-to-back jacks (three-run home run to right center) for the Falcons in the bottom of the seventh inning in game one at home vs. No. 12 Angelo State (Apr. 1)... Scored at least one run in seven straight games from April 10 (game two vs. Sul Ross) to April 24 (game two vs. Midwestern State), totaling 10 runs during that stretch... Led UTPB with a .462 batting average (6-13), six hits, six RBI's and four runs scored during the weekend against Sul Ross (Apr. 10) and Western New Mexico (Apr. 12). She had two RBI's (groundout, two-out single) in a 4-0 game-one win vs. SRSU, and then in game two she sent a 2-0 pitch over the fence in left field for a two-out, three-run home run that tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the fourth inning, giving her a total of five RBI's on the day. Against WNMU, she scored UTPB's first run of the inning in back-to-back innings (4th & 5th) in game one, and finished 3-for-4 with an RBI-double and her third run of the day during game two. In all she hit 4-for-7 (.571) with three runs scored and a .714 slugging percentage against WNMU... Hit an RBI-triple in game one and had a double in game two while also scoring a run in both games at St. Edward's (Apr. 19). In a 7-3 win in game one against the Hilltoppers, Gonzalez brought in what would go on to be the winning run with a triple to right field in the top of the third inning. Then in game two, Gonzalez broke up a perfect game with a leadoff double to right field in the top of the fifth inning. She would also come around to score after both of her extra-base knocks.
Harlan (HS):
Four-time First-Team All-District (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025)... Twice was first in stolen bases in District 29-6A (2024, 2025)... Two-time Offensive MVP for Harlan High School’s Varsity softball team (2024, 2025)... Team was 2022 Bi-District Champs, Area Champs and Regional Finalist; was 2023 Bi-District Champs, Area Champs and Regional Finalist; was 2024 Bi-District Champs; and was again 2025 Bi-District Champs... Four-time Academic All District (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025)... Second-Team Academic All-State... Three-time National Honor Society Member... Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Certified... Honor Graduate... National Society of High School Scholars Member... Member of National Honor Socieyt, Varsity Softball, Health Science Program and CCMA Program.
Personal:
Has participated in a countless amounts of community service events, mainly helping out at our local food banks, helping teachers around her school campus, and recently volunteering at Notre Dame Church in Kerrville, Texas, helping with donations and also helping with cleaning up the aftermath of the floods in Kerrville and surrounding areas... Another main event she volunteers at is youth basketball camps with George Hill, Danny Green and former Spur (Now Raptor) Sandro “Mamu” Mamukelashvilli (All 3 are close family friends, and they allow her to work registration and different activities throughout the duration of their camps for community service hours... She is also a certified clinical medical assistant, due to my high school’s program.
