Biography

2025 (Sophomore):
After joining the cross country team this Fall from the women’s tennis team, Bergstrom was UTPB’s top runner during all three races during the regular season... Showed consistent growth throughout the season, improving her 5K performance from 22:57 to a season-best 22:07 and competing solidly in both 5K and 6K races... Her dedication and effort have made her a reliable contributor to the cross country program... The standout tennis player joined the UTPB cross country team for the Fall season and rapidly proved her versatility. Although, this is a new sport to her, she has shown impactful dedication, drive, and athleticism at practice and on the course. Bergstrom is the essence of what it takes to be a true athlete; she is dedicated, highly driven, and ready to challenge herself... Ran her first 6K in the season opener at the Texas Tech Open (Sept. 12). She started the race in the lead pack, remained steady, and finished strong with a kick in the final 200 meters. In the end, Bergstrom was 85th in a field of 103 runners with a 6K time of 28:19.3... Was 30th in a field of 48 runners with a 5K time of 22:57.7 at the inaugural NMJC Dr. Steve McCleery Invitational (Sept. 26)... Was 247th out of 340 runners with a 5K season-best time of 22:07.8 at the DBU Old Glory Gallop (Oct. 11), shaving off 49.97 seconds from her previous race... Was the second-fastest UTPB runner and took 109th out of 122 runners with a season-best 6K time of 28:07.4 at the 2025 Lone Star Conference Championship (Oct. 25).

Sister, Olivia Bergstrom, participated in Sailing (Women's two person dinghy) at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
