Biography

AS A JUNIOR: Started all 46 games in her first season with the team where she hit .236, collecting 30 hits in 127 at-bats…Picked up eight doubles and hit a home run and tallied 20 RBI…Went 3-for-4 at Panhandle State where she picked up two doubles and an RBI for the first three-hit game of the season…Had six multiple hit games and had a three RBI game against Sul Ross State.

PRIOR TO UTPB: Was a two-year starter at Howard College where she helped the team advance to the regional tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Weslaco High School.

PERSONAL: Krystal Leal was born Dec. 21, 1988 in Weslaco, Texas and is the daughter of Karen Hernandez and Rafael Leal…Majoring in kinesiology.
