Biography
2025-26 (Sophomore):
Competed in all nine of the team’s meets, including the RMAC Championship... Got third in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.98 in the season opener (dual meet at Oklahoma Christian)... Finished first with a time of 21.96 seconds in the 50 freestyle during UTPB's home dual meet vs. Southwestern... Set three personal bests and four season bests at the midseason meet (Tiger Invitational). Espericueta swam anchor on UTPB's 200 freestyle "B" relay team that finished third at 1:25.01 during day one and finished seventh as an individual in the 100 freestyle (46.82) during day three.. Won the 100 freestyle (48.36) and also helped UTPB win both the 200 medley relay (1:37.31) and the 400 freestyle relay (3:12.86) in the dual meet at McMurry... Made the B Final in three individual races at the RMAC Championship, incuding a pair of 15th-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (57.99) and the 100 freestyle (46.18)... Also swam on UTPB's 400 freestyle "A" relay team that competed in the championship heat and finished in fifth place (3:03.34)... Was 73rd in scoring (5 points) and set seven personal bests at the RMAC Championship... Ranked eighth on the team according to FINA points.

2024-25 (First-Year):
Appeared in all nine meets for the Falcons as a true freshman... In his first collegiate meet he aided both the 200 medley relay team (1:37.53) and the 400 freestyle relay team (3:16.48) to first-place finishes at the McMurry/Adams State double dual meet (Oct. 4-5)... Aided the 200 freestyle relay team (1:31.23) to a first-place finish and added an individual finish of third place in the 50 freestyle (23.15) at the McMurry/Austin College double dual meet (Dec. 7)... Would again aid the 200 freestyle relay team (1:28.16) to a first-place finish in the next meet at Southwestern (Jan. 25).
Rouse (HS):
Team Captain... Two-time Second-Team All-State... School records in the 100 breaststroke, the 200 freestyle relay, the 400 freestyle relay, the 200 medley relay, the 100 IM and the 50 breaststroke... Team was District Champion, Regional event winners, and State finalist.
