2024-25 (Senior):
Named to the 2025 LSC Preseason Players to Watch list... Was a First-Team All-LSC selection in both singles and doubles (with Jonas Krahofer)... Named the LSC Co-Sportsmanship Player of the Year... Was also named to the LSC All-Tournament Team... Over his career between UTPB and WNMU, Vega is a four-time All-LSC player in singles and a three-time all-conference player in doubles... In addition to being named First-Team All-LSC in both singles and doubles for the second time in his career this season, Vega also earned the LSC Sportsmanship Player of the Year award for the second time in his career... He is a four-time LSC Player of the Week after winning another one this season... Amassed double-digit wins in both singles and doubles playing primarily from the No. 1 singles and the No. 1 doubles spots... Was 12-6 at No. 1 singles this season, including five wins over ranked opponents, and was 7-1 at No. 1 singles in LSC matches... He defeated four opponents who are currently ranked within the top-20 nationally in singles in NCAA Division II, picking up wins over players ranked No. 4, No. 6 and No. 11 in the country at the time... Was also 13-4 overall in doubles... The pair of Vega and Krahofer were a combined 13-3 in doubles, including a record of 12-3 at No. 1 doubles, and were 6-2 at No. 1 doubles in LSC matches... Went a perfect 3-0 in doubles at the Hardin-Simmons Cowboy Classic (Sept. 13-14)... At the ITA South Central Regional Championships (Sept. 26-28), Vega and Lucas Nitzschke advanced to the semifinals of the Doubles Flight A Back Draw... Was named the LSC Player of the Week on April 2, 2025, after going 2-0 in doubles, beating the No. 19-ranked and No. 26-ranked doubles teams in the nation, and going 2-0 in singles, beating the No. 11-ranked and No. 23-ranked singles players in the nation as UTPB defeated No. 38 Cameron (Mar. 28) 4-3 and then took out No. 15 nationally-ranked Midwestern State (Mar. 29) 5-2 to start the year 2-0 in conference action... Defeated the No. 8 nationally-ranked singles player in the NAIA, by a score of 7-5, 6-1 at No. 1 singles in a 6-1 win over the No. 22-ranked team in the NAIA, Arizona Christian (Feb. 1) in just the second match of the season... Completed a 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 comeback win over the No. 4 nationally-ranked singles player in NCAA Division II at No. 1 singles in a 4-3 win over Harding (Feb. 22)... Was a combined 6-0 during the Falcons' final three home matches of the season, going 3-0 both at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in wins against McMurry (Apr. 17), Sul Ross State (Apr. 18) and Western New Mexico (Apr. 19). His toughest match of the week was a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 three-set comeback win during his Senior Day over the No. 20 regionally-ranked player from WNMU at No. 1 singles. In his other two singles matches on the week, he only lost one game... Earned another top-10 win at No. 1 singles at No. 8 UT Tyler (Apr. 26) as he took down the No. 6 nationally-ranked singles player in the country with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 comeback win to kickoff the final weekend of the regular season. It was Vega's fifth win against a nationally-ranked opponent this season, and was his fourth win against an opponent who is currently ranked within the top-20 nationally in singles in NCAA Division II... Following UTPB's 4-2 loss against No. 5 nationally-ranked Lubbock Christian in the LSC Tournament semifinals (May 2), Vega was named to the 2025 LSC All-Tournament Team. Vega had two tough matches against nationally-ranked opponents in the LSC semifinals, falling 6-3 with Krahofer against the No. 35 nationally-ranked doubles pair at No. 1 doubles and falling 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) against the No. 9 nationally-ranked singles player at No. 1 singles... Was nationally ranked in each of the last five weeks of the regular season and held an ITA singles ranking of No. 25 in the nation, his highest ranking of the season, heading into the postseason. Finished the year ranked No. 27 nationally and No. 7 in the South Central Region in singles... As a doubles pair, Vega and Krahofer were ranked as high as No. 18 in the nation before ranking at No. 30 heading into the postseason and ending the year at No. 25 nationally. They also finished the season ranked No. 4 in the South Central Region for doubles... Named to the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll (4.0 Spring semester)... Named an ITA Scholar-Athlete... Earned 2025 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award.
2023-24 (Junior):
Played in 23 matches… Held a singles record of 20-3 with a win percentage of 86 percent… Had a doubles record of 15-8 with a win percentage of 65 percent… Named LSC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week (Feb. 14) in a week where he went 4-0... Was named Second team All-LSC for doubles and singles... Helped the Falcons finish the season with a 20-5 overall record and a 7-1 mark in the LSC while tying for first place in the Lone Star Conference in the regular season and advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.

Before UTPB, Vega was a team captain at Western New Mexico... Was named First-Team All-LSC in both singles and doubles in 2022... Also earned the LSC Sportsmanship Player of the Year award for the first time in his career in 2022... Was Second-Team All-LSC in singles in 2023.
