AS A JUNIOR: Started all 31 games she appeared in and hit .228 with three doubles, two home runs and 10 runs batted in…Went 3-for-3 with two RBI against the University of the Southwest and had two other multiple-hit games…Hit her first home run as a Falcon on March 31 against West Texas A&M and her second less than two weeks later at home against Newman.

PRIOR TO UTPB: Was a two-year starter at El Paso Community College.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played three seasons at Chapin High School where she hit .349 as a senior…Was a three-time first team all-district selection…Was the recipient of the Most Athletic Female Award as a senior.

PERSONAL: Kristine Samaniego was born March 15, 1989 in El Paso, Texas and is the daughter of Alice Sanchez and Armando Samaniego…Majoring in kinesiology.
