ODESSA, Texas (April 7, 2026) – Due to increased winds later in the day and a chance of storms, the start times for The University of Texas Permian Basin softball team's home doubleheader vs. Sul Ross State University on Friday, April 10, have been moved up two hours from 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. at the UTPB Softball Park.
UTPB (13-22 overall, 4-20 Lone Star Conference) is coming off of a 3-2 road win at No. 12 nationally-ranked Angelo State University last Thursday. It was UTPB's first-ever win against Angelo State in San Angelo, Texas, and it was the Falcons' first nationally-ranked win since sweeping No. 22 West Texas A&M University at home on April 22, 2022, a span of four seasons.
UTPB won twice against SRSU (6-27, 4-22) at home in 2025.
