ODESSA, Texas (April 5, 2025) – The University of Texas Permian Basin softball team's home doubleheader against Sul Ross State University on Sunday, April 6, has been pushed back one hour to start at 12 p.m. / 2 p.m. from the UTPB Softball Park.

UTPB (6-34 overall, 1-29 Lone Star Conference) fell 6-5 in a heartbreaking game one and then lost 13-5 in five innings in game two at Sul Ross (10-29, 7-13) on Friday night. Kelsey Valo and Gabriella Cabrera both hit home runs for the Falcons on the day, but in game one, UTPB scored three runs with two outs to take a 5-3 lead in the top of seventh inning before a two-out, three-run home run on a 3-2 count by the Lobos to win the game in the bottom of the seventh.
