UT Permian Basin student athletes continue to excel in the classroom. The Lone Star Conference announced that 164 Falcons were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2023 spring semester. 57 of those athletes made a perfect 4.0 GPA. 

 

"We pride ourselves in celebrating the academic achievements of our student-athletes," said Vice President for Athletics Todd Dooley. "The 164 student-athletes landing on the commissioner's honor role speaks directly to their pursuit of excellence in the classroom at UT Permian Basin." 

The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average for the specified semester. To be eligible for the recognition, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 grade-point average for the semester and be on the roster. Participants on all 19 LSC championship sports, three non-conference Division II sports, and athletic training student staff were included among the spring 2023 honorees.
