ODESSA, TX – The UT Permian Basin softball program honored its senior class before the final game of the season. Although the Falcons rapped out five hits, all singles, and pushed two runs across, there was no senior day magic in the cards as UTPB falls 10-2 Lubbock Christian.
Keri Sanford was responsible for both of the Falcons' dents in the scoreboard, scoring twice and singling once.
Taylen Thurman was able to reach base safely two times, driving in a run on an RBI-groundout, poking a single, and being the recipient of a bean ball.
Mia Quintero used her vision to earn her ribbie, coaxing a bases loaded walk, one of UTPB's two free passes, while Arvell Aguiar had the other base on balls.
Capping the base knocks were the trio of
Emily Andress,
Aracely Araiza, and
Angelina Arriaga.
The Orange and Black conclude the 2023 campaign with an overall record of 8-42, 5-37 in the Lone Star Conference.
