ODESSA, TX – The UT Permian Basin softball program held off a late Hilltoppers rally to win game one 8-6 before St. Edwards turned the tables by stunting a two-run Falcons seventh inning surge to claim a 7-6 decision.
 
Emily Andress totaled five bases on two hits, a triple and a double, scored four runs plus she stole second on the afternoon.
 
Mia Qunitero led UTPB with a quartet of RBIs, scored thrice, coaxed a walk, and smacked a pair of singles.
 
Taylen Thurman drove in three baserunners during a 2-for-3 game one which included a two-bagger and a free pass to go along with two hit-by-pitches plus a stolen base in the nightcap.
 
Kelsey Valo and Cheyenne Marquez were a pair of hit machines, combining to go 7-of-14 (.500) including four scores, two ribbies, and a pair of bases on balls.
