ODESSA, TX – UT Permian Basin Falcon Softball came out punching against the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds in Sunday's double header but couldn't finish out either game, falling 3-2 and 9-1.
UTPB had a solid chance in game one of the day. The Falcons entered the final inning, down one run and had two runs on base, but couldn't bring the tying run in.
Mia Quintero lead Falcon hitters in game one with a homerun while 
Taylen Thurman had a double.
In game two, the Falcons were nipping at the Hounds in the first half of the game trailing 2-1. However, ENMU racked up runs in the fourth and fifth innings to take the game 9-1.
Aracely Araiza picked up a pair of hits and an RBI in the second game of the afternoon.
Falcon pitchers racked up seven strikes over the two games.
UTPB will take the show on the road next weekend March 31 – April 1 to Texas A&M Kingsville.
