Our third Hometown Hero of the season is Staff Sergeant Daniel Radabaugh. Staff Sergeant Radabaugh was a 19D Reconnaissance Scout having two combat tours in Iraq as a Battalion and Brigade Asset with 3/69 Armor Battalion during operations in Samarra, Baghdad and Ramadi Iraq.
He also served 2-1/2 Years in South Korea with the 2nd Infantry Division. Staff Sergeant Radabaugh conducted hundreds of reconnaissance missions during his career and is the recipient of numerous military awards and decorations to include: Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), Army Achievement Medal, USN Achievement medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award), Iraqi Campaign Medal (2 campaign stars) Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (2nd award) Army Service Ribbon / Overseas service ribbon (3rd award) Korean Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Badge.
Staff Sergeant Radabaugh lives in Midland Texas, after leaving military service and is proudly serving the Oil and Gas industry as the Vice President for PetroFit, a veteran owned health and wellness company that helps oil and gas employees overcome the struggles of this challenging industry.
Staff Sergeant Radabaugh would like to give a special thanks to his wife Kym Radabaugh and son Dallas Radabaugh for their support through the years and the communities of the Permian Basin for their support of veterans.
