The Falcons
-          The Falcons are hot, winning eight of their last nine games.  They are currently 3-1 in Lone Star Conference play after the opening weekend.
-          They are third in Division II in hits with 248 on the season.  The Falcons are fourth in the LSC in batting average at .353. 
-          This match-up features the top two scoring offenses in the LSC.  The Patriots have plated 176 runs while the Falcons have scored 162 times. 
-          The Falcons also lead the LSC in doubles with 51 and are second in triples with 14.
-          Julia Bumford is having a terrific season.  Her stat line is currently:
o   Batting Average: .522, Second in LSC, 25^th in Division II
o   Hits: 35, Tied for First in LSC, tied for Fifth in Division II
o   Triples: 3, Tied for Second in LSC, tied for 14^th in Division II

-          Valerie Gonzalez is doing a lot of damage out of the leadoff spot.  She is tied for the league lead in hits with Bumford and leads the Falcons with 24 runs scored. 
-          Aracely Araiza leads the LSC in doubles with 11 and sits fourth in the nation.  She's second on the team with 21 RBI while batting .364.
-          The Falcons have been getting off to a fast start this season, outscoring opponents 22-7 in the first inning.
-          This will be the fourth all-time meeting between the programs.  The Patriots have taken the prior three games.
The Patriots
-          They had previously been unanimously No. 1 in Division until this week where they split votes with Concordia Irvine.
-          The Patriots have a staff ERA of 2.19 and three pitchers under 2.00. 
-          Defending LSC Pitcher of the Year Peyton Foster is 9-1 with a 2.93 ERA.
-          Sarah Gartman is third in the LSC with an ERA of 0.92.  The senior has not allowed more than one run this season.
-          The Patriots lead the LSC in runs scored and have three players already with 20 RBI on the year.
