The Falcons 

• The Falcons were led by newcomer Julia Bumford in the teams opening day double header in Albuquerque, NM. Bumford collected her first hit against Colorado Christian and then went to collect two more against New Mexico Highlands in the night cap. Melayna Lopez also hit a home run in the game against the Cowgirls.
• On the pitching side the Falcons used four pitchers including familiar faces Becky Berth and Abby Cousins. Cynthia Ng and Destini Trahan were the new faces that were in the circle on opening day.

Colorado Christian

• The Cougars scored 19 runs in their two games yesterday, putting up 11 on Western New Mexico before putting eight on the Falcons in their second game. The Cougars only gave up three runs combined in the two games.

Adams State

• The Grizzlies come into day two with a 1-1 record. They beat Eastern New Mexico 13-0 in five innings and then lost to Western New Mexico 9-4 in their second game. Their offense averaged 11 runs per game and their pitching is giving up two runs a game.
