The Falcons 

• The Falcons have matched the program's longest winning streak since the 2016 season.  Over the last five games, the Falcons have outscored opponents 53-21.
• Julia Bumford had a monster day at the plate to open the weekend.  The sophomore combined for four home runs and 11 RBI as the Falcons pushed across 25 runs.  She currently leads the team in batting average, home runs, and runs batted in.
• Mia Quintero has found her power stroke, blasting her fourth homer of the season yesterday.  She also reached the double-digit RBI mark, joining Bumford and Ashlynn Bradley.  Last season the Falcons had three players in double figures.
• The Falcons have found their power stroke this season.  Last season the squad clubbed eight in 40 games, this season they have 12 through 13 games.  The team is closing in on last year's run total as well.  This year they've crossed the plate 82 times while last year they scored just 118 runs.

 
The Skyhawks

• The Skyhawks have scored just 10 runs through six games and been shutout four times on the young season.
• Yesterday they were blanked by RV Texas A&M – Commerce and No. 5 West Texas A&M.  Against the Lions they failed to record a base runner while only getting one hit against the Lady Buffs.
• This is the fourth meeting all-time between the programs.  The Falcons have taken the last two in the series, including a 3-0 shutout in the last meeting in 2020.

 
The Grizzlies

• Yesterday the Falcons knocked off the Grizzlies 12-8, thanks to a late home run off the bat of Bumford.
• This will be the rubber match of the season for these two teams.  Prior to 2022 they had never faced each other.  So far, the teams have split their two match ups.
• After falling to the Falcons yesterday, the Grizzlies could only manage two hits against host West Texas A&M.  They allowed five runs in the first before settling in in the circle.
