The Falcons 
  • The Falcons kept the bats popping in their weekend finale on Sunday as they defeated Baker College. They were offensively led by Aracely Araiza and Sydney Bishop. Araiza led the game with three RBI and a home run. Bishop also had a home run as she drove in two runs and collected a game high three hits.  Becky Berth got the start in the circle as she struck out four while allowing only one hit in six innings pitched against the Wildcats.
  • Bishop is tied for seventh in batting average in the Lone Star Conference. 
  • Melayna Lopez has four doubles on the season which is tied for fifth in the conference and she has two triples tying her for fourth in that category. She is seventh best in the conference with 24 total bases. She is tied for sixth best in the conference with seven walks.
  • Mia Quintero is tied for fourth best in the conference with three home runs.
  • Valerie Gonzalez is tied for first place in the conference in sacrifice hits with two and is tied for seventh in hits with 14.
  • Trahan is tied for seventh in the conference with six strikeouts looking.
  • As a team the Falcons are putting the ball in play as they have the seventh lowest strikeouts in the conference with 26. They are first in the conference with eight sacrifice hits and fourth in hits with 83.
  • This will be the first time the Falcons will be playing the Wolves and it will be the second time the Falcons play the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies
  • The Grizzlies will be playing their fifth game when they face the Falcons for the second time this season. In their first meeting the Falcons held them to three runs which is the lowest their offense has had in a game this season. They have faced Western New Mexico twice and Eastern New Mexico once. They lost both games against the Mustangs and defeated the Greyhounds 13-0 in five innings.
The Wolves
  • The Wolves are 4-0 on the season as they have not given up more than two runs in a single game yet, giving up a combined five runs. All of the schools they faced were NAIA competition and they will face their first NCAA Division II competition of the year over the weekend.
