The Falcons 

• The Falcons were led by Mia Quintero and Trahan on Friday. Quintero hit three home runs in their two games and Trahan continued her dominant pitching, throeing eight innings and striking out nine against the University of Science and Arts.
• Melayna Lopez is tied for eighth best in the Lone Star Conference with five walks.
• Quintero is tied for second best in the conference with three home runs.
• Gonzalez is in sole possession of first place in the conference in sacrifice hits with two.
• Trahan is tied for sixth in the conference with six strikeouts looking.
• As a team the Falcons are putting the ball in play as they have the seventh lowest strikeouts in the conference with 20. They are first in the conference with seven sacrifice hits.
• This will be the first time the Falcons will be playing the Threshers and the Bulldogs.

The Threshers

• The Threshers will play their first game of the 2022 calendar year against the Falcons. They finished the 2021 campaign 9-29 as they ended on a four-game losing streak.  

The Bulldogs

• The Bulldogs are coming off a doubleheader against Arlington Baptist on February 8. They lost the first game in seven innings 6-5, but they came back and won the second game 14-0. They finished the 2021 season 14-14 as they made it to the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament.
