Ramirez Scores Third of the Year in LSC Road Tilt

Freshman Cassandra Ramirez continued the strong start to her collegiate career on Wednesday, scoring her third goal of the season.  The Odessa native found the back of the net in the 10th minute of action at Midwestern State.

The Falcons led early on the Ramirez goal despite being out shot 9-8 in the opening half.  In the 65th minute a handball in the box gave the Mustangs a penalty kick opportunity which they converted to tie the game.  Just over 10 minutes later the Mustangs got a break when a shot hit the right post and bounced in to take the lead.  They added another goal in the 85th minute with the Falcon applying offensive pressure.  

Ramirez had two of the team's three shots on goal, with Madi Grace Cariello recording the other.  Jenna McEnaney made three saves in the effort.
