Falcon Defense Suffocating in Sixth Shutout of the Season

UT Permian Basin Women's Soccer's defense has been on lockdown over the last few weeks and that trend continued on Wednesday against Texas A&M International.  Neither side could get much offense going as the Falcons held the Dustdevils scoreless in a 0-0 draw in Odessa.

The Dustdevils had the only shot on goal in the opening half, but the Falcon defense came up with a huge deflection to keep the game scoreless.  The Falcons had a pair of chances in the second half with shots on goal by Cassandra Ramirez and Kaylee Overmyer but they couldn't convert.  Jenna McEnaney only needed to make a pair of saves in the effort.  The Falcons have now held the opposition scoreless in three of their last four games, and allowed just one goal overall in that timeframe.

The Falcons hit the road for a crucial Lone Star Conference match-up this Saturday against Oklahoma Christian.  They are currently tied for the final spot in the LSC playoffs with two games to go but don't have the tiebreaker against UT Tyler.  Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the team all season long.
