It took until the second half, but UT Permian Basin Women's Soccer got on the board in the 56^th minute off the foot of Madi Grace Carriello, the first goal of her collegiate career.  The goal was the first for the Falcons in five matches against Lubbock Christian.
 
The Falcons allowed a goal in the 14^th minute of action but remained locked in defensively.  Goalkeeper Blair Woodward turned away six shots from the Lady Chaps to keep the Falcons in the game.  Trailing by one into the second half the Falcons got the offense going off a set piece.  Ellie Putnam's long ball found the foot of Carriello who tapped the ball past the keeper for the equalizer.  The Falcon defense held until the 74^th minute when the Lady Chaps found the net for the 2-1 final.
 
The Falcons snapped a five-game streak without a goal against the Lady Chaps dating back to 2015.  Marlise Bond was the only other Falcon to record a shot on goal.
