Jenna McEnaney added to her Lone Star Conference lead in saves on Saturday. The sophomore from Midland made seven saves against UT Tyler and now has 57 on the year.
The Falcon offense settled in when Hailey Sawyer had a scoring chance but was stopped.
Yarely Orona had an opportunity of her own in the 30
th minute but hit the post. It was followed shortly with a shot by
Yareli Barrera that was turned away by the Patriot keeper. The Falcons had back-to-back shots on goal from Barrera and Madi Grace Cariello, but both were turned away.
In the second half the Falcons had chances again with shots by
Olivia Rees and
Alexis Ramos along with a pair by Tania Garcia. It wasn't enough as the Falcon defense couldn't contain the Patriots for the 5-0 final.
