Andrew Perez score his first goal of the season and had a chance for the equalizer in the final minute of regulation as the Falcons battled to the end with Eastern New Mexico.  It wasn't enough as the Falcons were downed 2-1.

The Falcons (5-11-1) had the first opportunity just two minutes into the game but Stefan Faria's shot missed just wide.  Faria had another opportunity in the 26th minute but was denied.  The Greyhounds (11-5-1) struck first though on a counter attack, scoring on a long strike from Craig Brand.  

The Falcons went to work in the second half looking to tie the score.  That came in the 58th minute off of Oliie Grundy's throw-in.  Grundy's long throw-in caused a scrum in front of the net that found the foot of Perez who buried it to tie the game at one.  The Greyhounds responded, scoring the go-ahead goal in the 75th minute.  The Falcons didn't quit, continuing to pressure the Greyhound defense.  They had one final chance in the final minute off a corner kick but Perez's header sailed just high.

The Falcons had 13 shots as a team with five landing on goal.  Faria and Salvador Vargas Ramos paced the team with four shots a piece.  In net Alfonso Aragon made five saves.

The Falcons wrap-up their season Saturday with Senior Day at 1 p.m. against West Texas A&M.
