Goalkeeper
Alfonso Aragon had a stellar night making a career-high 13 saves against No. 10 St. Mary's. It wasn't enough as the Falcons (5-9-1, 2-5) fell to the Rattlers (12-2-1, 10-1) 3-0.
The Falcons had an opportunity to strike first after receiving a penalty kick in just the 6th minute but couldn't find the back of the net. The Falcon defense backed in as the Rattlers took aim at the net eight times, but Aragon was up to the task stopping all eight. After a scoreless first half, the Rattlers broke through in the 52nd minute. They Rattlers added another goal in the 69th minute before putting the game away with the final goal in the 88th.
Salvador Vargas Ramos had the only Falcon shot on goal early in the second half but was denied.
Aragon is now up to a Lone Star Conference leading 72 saves with his 13, breaking his previous high of 10.
The Falcons head south to take on Texas A&M International in their final road game of the season this Saturday before returning home for the final weekend of the regular season.
